Minecraft Party Ideas

1

Minecraft is super popular and a friend of ours recently had a minecraft themed birthday party for her 8 year old son.

Helen did a great job and the kids had a blast! I asked her if we could share her ideas and photos and I know you will come up with some other great ideas too … just share them in the comments for others.

The Nibblies Table

For this Helen matched various nibblies, lollies and fruit with things that appear in the game and simply printed minecraft style labels for them. You can buy the minecraft blocks that fold up at variety stores.

To get the images for the labels you can just google each item and click ‘images’ …

The Drinks Station

The drinks station was very simple with a fruit juice “strength potion” and some water bottles that Helen created printed labels for as various other potions.

The Cake

The cake was purchased but the Minecraft cake topper was found on facebook from Itty Bitty Invite & Cake Toppers

The Activities

Among other things Helen made a Minecraft Piñata 🙂

“It was made out of a nearly white box of baby wipes from Kmart, covered with kids stick glue in a4 paper… My 8 y/o did this. Then we used white streamers from the cheap shop to wrap around the box to cover the white paper. I googled “ghost minecraft face” and printed out the face… And stuck on with kids stick glue. Filled the piñata with lollies chocolate and toys. Pierced lid with sharp knife and inserted ‘zip ties’ X 2 to string up piñata We then glued streamers in rows on bottom of ghast”

Being a mum to 3 kids (one of them full time at home with me) and trying to juggle everything became pretty crazy.
