Yummy Butter Frosting From Scratch

Here is the delicious butter frosting recipe from that book.

Vanilla Butter Frosting

Thick, fluffy, sweet, easy to make and easy to decorate with, this is classic vanilla frosting.

Ingredients

• 300g butter, soft
• 640g (4 cups) icing sugar, sifted
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 4 tbsp milk (room temp)  

Method

1. Beat the butter with half the sugar until smooth and light.
2. Add the remaining sugar and vanilla and whip again until smooth and light.
3. Finally, while mixing, stream in the milk and whip until smooth.
4. From this point you can colour or flavour the frosting as you like – read on for our favourite, easy combinations!
