I saw Megamind in theatres when it was released in 2010. It quickly became one of my favorite animated films.
Will Ferrell is excellent as the voice of Megamind, the bumbling super villain who tries to come up with new ways to defeat his enemy, Metro City super hero Metro Man (voiced by Brad Pitt). When he finally defeats Metro Man with one of his devious plots, he finds himself at a loss for what to do next.
Megamind is a terrific spin on a classic super hero tale, except in this case, the villain is the hero. Tina Fey is the voice of the talented Roxanne Ritchie, the news reporter and rumored love interest of Metro Man. Other notable cast members include Jonah Hill and Ben Stiller. I have watched this movie several times since it was first released, and it has since become a part of my permanent animated movie collection. My daughter and I love to watch this on rainy days or family nights. The hilarious jokes are relevant for children and adults alike.
The use of AC/DC on the soundtrack adds a high energy, exciting feel to the storyline. I promise this is a movie that you will want to watch again and again.
