WOW this looks like a great activity for a bit of fun these school holidays … and it is cheap too!
You can make your very own craft snow using simple cheap ingredients from the supermarket. Just mix 3 cups baking soda with 1/3-1/2 cup of white hair conditioner. I’m assuming it would be just as fun with a coloured mix but less like snow 🙂

Of course, don’t let them eat it so not really for infants.
