I have been lucky enough to be able to have a play over the past week with this fab online educational game for kids called WilderQuest.
WilderQuest is a Nature Discovery initiative by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and it is awesome.
Your kids get to sign up as themselves and make their own little person which is super cute (see picture above).
Once they have made their own little person you can then choose your own sidekick, backpack and cubby poster.
NOW IT’S TIME FOR THE FUN TO BEGIN!!
You get to play all sorts of fun games and learn about:
•16 different animals to discover
•Animal information pages
•Videos about animals and locations
•Animal galleries with pictures of animals, their food and markings
•Maps and information about National Parks locations
You get points and awards as you play the different games and can mix and match between puzzles, colouring in, making videos, taking photos and much more!
The BEST thing about this game is it is FREE. YAY!! Your kids can spend time building their cubby, having fun, and learning stuff YAY!!
I thought I would post about this just as the School Holidays are approaching as this could be a great educational game to keep your kiddos busy when you have run out of School Holiday activity ideas!! They can keep building their points and their cubby over weeks so this can be great ongoing fun!
The game is part of an overall WilderQuest programme run by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service which aims to make nature fun and easy for children to understand by experiencing the natural world online and in NSW national parks and reserves. Once your child has enjoyed the game take their adventure into a national park or on one of the WilderQuest discovery tours. The game is a great way to ignite your child’s love of the outdoors.
