I asked on the School Mum facebook page a little earlier this week what your Mother’s Day wish list was.
As I was reading through the list I could not help but be in awe and amazed and teary at us mothers. This mothering gig is pretty tough at times. Right now I am in the middle of 3 kids 7, 5 and 10 months and let me say having a baby who has just started crawling and getting into everything has tipped me back into the out of control, no time for myself, full on parenting thing.
Despite the fact that most of us have already given up our own daily wants and needs to meet those of our kids all you amazing mothers on the page still commented with a wish list that was not so much about more things for me but about things for us (our families) or precious moments that were lost to us which we would love one more time over.
Below are some examples of what mothers really want this Mother’s Day which to me reflects how amazing all you mums really are …
Helen – Cuddle my angel in heaven. It’s her birthday Mother’s Day
Kaylenne – A house for my mum one that she can do whatever she likes to and doesn’t have to worry every day whether she can afford to keep it and she can finally relax and be happy
Sally – I’d love for the missing Brisbane women to both be reunited with their families x
Tegan – Eliminate squealing and stupid loud noises for no reasons.
Jo-anne – No housework for the day and not have it wait for me on the next day.
Larissa – One more day with my mum
Mell – Same as I ask for every year. Good, happy kids who don’t argue or fight for a whole entire day!
Caz – 14 hours of uninterrupted, completely still, sleep.
Kimberly – 2 sit on the loo without anyone (hubby including) calling out to me or barging in on me
Tracey – A job for my partner
Tamara – A cure for Type one Diabetes for my little girl .
Lisa – lunch with my dad RIP
Melissa – My youngest to come home from hospital!!!
Amanda – A guilt free day off work to spend time in my daughters class
Carla – For the cancer never to come back, so my kids can always have their mum, I’m even happy to put up with their annoying fights
Chelsea – Just one day to share with my children and my deceased mum. I’d love them to meet each other and spend time together…and to hug my mum and tell her I’m sorry and I love her one last time…. My ultimate dream. ????
Sarah- Hubby to vac, mop, cook and donthe dishes for the day. And my kids to sleep in until 7:30am.
Pam – A whole day of well behaved kids. No fighting, whinging, backtalk, smartass crap, and excuses.
Kellie – My 18 year old to come home… Just for the day, if she must, would be the best present ever
Rose – Ear plugs
Picasso – Just to be happy and stress free and some beautiful family time
Tara – For my 4 teenagers to love each other for just 1 day. To speak to each other with respect, to laugh and joke around like they used to. I am one very tired and over it Mum!
