I remember when I was first told I would be going to Dubai for School Mum to “experience Dubai” and share all about it. I was like CRAZY DAYS people.
I started doing research straight away to see some of the things Dubai had to offer for the budding tourist and the Atlantis The Palm and Aquaventure Waterpark were some of the things that stood out to me. When I heard we would be making a trip to visit here I was SOOOO excited!!
The kid in me still loves a waterslide and this place was the ultimate (kind of like everything in Dubai really) haha.
The first thing I did was the Leap Of Faith (pictured above) and I was scared out of my mind haha. I do love a good challenge and to push myself to do things even when I am crazy scared and this was on the list. In my mind I knew that this slide would not be legal if you could die or seriously injury yourself but my emotions were telling me otherwise.
The other cool thing about this slide is that you go through a kind of aquarium surrounded by glass with fish and sharks swimming around you… how cool is that!
I watched 4 of my friends go before me and survive so I decided to take the plunge. I am happy to say I survived and am glad I did it but don’t know if I would do it again. For about 2 days after doing this waterslide I kept having visions of me falling forward and crashing to the bottom hahaha. I have to say it was all worth it though to see the look on both of my daughter’s faces when they saw the photo of me above.

It is a parent and kids heaven and you can stay at Atlantis The Palm and have all day everyday access to this amazing waterpark. They even have a whole space for smaller children to accommodate a broad range of ages.
If ever you take your family to Dubai this place is a must 🙂
