I remember when I first saw the preview for the Inside Out movie I thought it looked a bit complicated and might be hard to follow for the kids. HOW WRONG I WAS.
There are not many kids movies that I walk out of and think WOW that was really amazing but this one was on the list.
Somehow the writers managed to take a complex idea and make it so simple and engaging for kids and adults alike. Both of my daughters have been talking about this movie for days and it has given me some good opportunities to discuss feelings with them. This has been great as feelings can be confusing at times for kids and this movie makes them not so scary and easy to explain.
Inside Out should come with a warning though … TAKE SOME TISSUES haha. I don’t often cry in movies but when I do I need me a tissue. There is an important message in this movie for parents also which has made me think.
I would recommend 4 year olds and up for this movie. I think there is something in it for everyone and all my kids can talk about is seeing it again.
