Paper Planes is a great Aussie family friendly movie … something that has been sadly missing for a few years.
When I was growing up there always seemed to be some G or PG Australian films that could be enjoyed by everyone but I have noticed that more recently they seem to be few and far between. This apparently was a major motivation for the director of Paper Planes too and the result is a fun and sometimes touching movie about a young country boy making his way to the world championships for paper plane throwing.
Its a very odd idea and that is what makes it fun. The movie inspired a lot of free fun for my boys as they spent hours making all sorts of different planes and throwing them around the yard.
Definitely our summer favourite over all the international ‘hit’ movies. See it 🙂
