Every now and then I am given products to test out in my home to let y’all know about what I think. This product is one of those products which has really changed my cleaning life and would have to be at the top of the list for my all time favourite products to clean up my kid’s filth.
There are 5 humans that live in my household and 2 chickens that pop in every now and then. We do tend to be a hub of play for our street so it would not be unusual for 7 children to be running through my house on any given afternoon.
I am still completely amazed at how quickly my house can go from clean and tidy to filthy and out of control. It really is a gift my children have at making this happen so quickly and efficiently.
Having had a baby and now toddler in the house for the last few years I did become very aware of how filthy the floor becomes. Very quickly I knew it needed to be addressed regularly otherwise Mr 18 months wouldn’t eat his lunch due to eating the leftovers off the floor from days gone by instead haha.
When the Dyson V8 Absolute came into our house it was a game changer. You can watch a short video we put together below showing you exactly what is does and why I love it so much. I have also explained the video underneath for those who prefer read why I love it rather than watch a video.
So this is what I love so much about my Dyson V8 Absolute Vacuum cleaner …
I love how portable and accessible it is because you can use it anywhere without the hassle of needing to plug it in. Historically the only vacuum cleaner we have had in our house was locked away in a cupboard upstairs so it was quite a lot of effort to get it out. This resulted it me not really getting it out unless I was doing a big clean which was about once a week.
Having a vacuum cleaner literally 1 meter from my kitchen mounted on the wall ready to go at any moment means our floors are so much cleaner all of the time which makes a much more hygienic situation for my kids … particularly the little guy who spends a lot of time on the floor.
This current Dyson is also powered with a V8 motor which runs at 425W compared to previous generations which have been a V6 motor. Not only is it more powerful it also has a run time of 40 minutes instead of 20 minutes which means this awesome vacuum can go longer than I can lol. Just in case you are one of those people who can vacuum forever it also has a new battery runtime indicator which gives you a visual indication of cleaning time remaining.
As someone who has a severe allergy to dust mites I love that it has a whole machine filtration system that captures 99.97% of allergens and bacteria and expels air cleaner than the air you breath. I am yet to find myself having a sneezing fit while using my Dyson. It also has a hygienic dirt ejector (if only there was a button I could press for this exact same thing for my entire house in an instant ha). As the bin is emptied, a rubber collar slides down the shroud, scraping dirt off which means it will get rid of any trapped dust or debris in one single action.
The other fabulous thing about this vacuum cleaner is it comes with an impressive selection of attachments for any scenario you are trying to clean. There is a different attachment for carpet and floors, your car, couch and the list goes on. It truly is quite awesome. This model also has a max mode button which offers higher suction for more difficult tasks. It provides 115AW of suction, compared to 100AW on previous generation machines. The other great thing is even though it is a more powerful vacuum this awesome new generation V8 Absolute generates 50% less noise compared with previous models.
I truly do love my Dyson Vacuum with all of my heart and this latest evolution is the best yet. But the honest truth about why I REALLY love my Dyson is because husbands actually love it lol and will often grab it and start vacuuming without any prompting #dysonforthewin.
You can find it at leading retail stores and online here. It generally retails for around $849 and is worth every penny if you ask me.
