26 Life Changing Things You Can Say To Nurture Your Child’s Inner Voice

1

We’ve all heard the quote that the way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice…….personally this scares me a bit!  As parents we have a responsibility to nurture our child’s inner voice with positive encouragement and motivation.

Below are 26 easy phrases to weave into your daily interactions with your kids:

  • You make me proud.

  • You have great ideas.

  • That’s a good question.

  • I know you did your best.

  • I’m so glad you’re a part of our family.

  • I love the way you re-tell stories.

  • I’m sorry. You were right.

  • You are loved.

  • You’re in the top 3* kids in the whole world (*depending on how many kids you have!)

  • I loved that you tried even though you weren’t sure how you’d go.

  • You are heaps of fun to be with.

  • You make me laugh.

  • You’re really good company.

  • That’s really interesting. I like the way you look at things.

  • You are helpful.

  • I love that you are curious.

  • That’s right. You make a good point.

  • You make my heart burst.

  • I learn new things from you every day.

  • I could never stop loving you.

  • You were really brave to try that.

  • I trust you.

  • You are really important to me.

  • Watching you grow up is the best.

  • Thanks for doing that before I asked.

  • That was a strong decision.

We have made the above list into a printable download if you would like to keep this list handy!
